A large wooden traditional Maori style Manaia Koru sculpture created in Rotorua, New Zealand.

This amazing double sided sculpture features stunning fine detail, Paua shell inlays and includes a description of the meaning of the carving.

A traditional style carved Manaia created with a modern twist and techniques .  It is created using many individual layers of wood veneer which is laser cut and engraved then hand assembled by the artist giving a fully rounded 3D sculptural and layered form.

This piece is ideal as a trophy or large display piece.
It is supplied folded flat in a very nice box with cut foam padding for easy presentation and shipping.
The base is large enough to attached an engraved plaque if desired.

The Manaia is said to be the messenger between the earthly world of mortals and the domain of the spirits.
